‘I hope to add a little extra sparkle to this in my role and bring in the networks I am already involved in as well as new ones,’ Ms Moses noted. Her posts drew a spate of congratulatory messages from physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals.

Ms Moses stressed that she will be carry on working as a consultant respiratory physiotherapist on a part-time basis in order to ‘ensure clinical leadership, patient voice & lived experience is embedded in everything I do’.

Ms Moses, who is also president elect at the British Thoracic Society, added that she will also continue her humanitarian work with Medical Aid for Palestinians.

An OBE honour

Rachael Moses spoke exclusively to PhysioUpdate earlier this year after she received an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2021 in recognition of her contribution to the NHS.
